"One Flesh" is an oil painting on canvas 36x48 made in the spring of 2024. This is a portrait of my parents at the exact location of their wedding day. They got married on that patio. I was inspired by Kerry James Marshall's style of painting. I called it One Flesh because as the scripture says, "A man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

"Getaway" is an acrylic painting on canvas 11x8.5 I created in the spring of 2024. I wanted to create a little escape, a getaway. This is a speed painting I did in an impressionist style under 30 minutes. I asked myself as I was painting, "What do I want to see?" So I made an exotic sunset and and city scape across the water with some nature and animals.

Painting Reproduction Assignment while making our own canvas and paint- My version of Norman Lewis' painting "Girl With Yellow Hat"- Painted with Shaving Cream and Food Coloring. Skeleton of the canvas made of cardboard and elastic string hot glued on top.
